This is a question I ask all the time. In my opinion a person that cheats can't possible respect you. How can you respect a person but you do things you know would potentially hurt them? When you have respect for a person you would never let another male/female have something negative to say about them or your relationship.
Words of advice, if you let your significant other cheat, and act like its okay, they will never respect you. Of course if you take them back they will come back, but they will never have the same level of respect for you. I've seen it happen many time.
I want to make it clear that if you choose to take someone back that cheated, you must put your foot down. Even though I don't recommend that, but we all have are reasons for doing what we do.
Just remember when your making decisions about your relationship always do what is best for you and don't makes decisions based on fear of being alone.
